The Lithium Robot (part 12 of 12)

It was 8:50, Phillip had to run fast if he was going to make it to the dance auditions.  As he ran down the hill, back to Town Hall, Phillip knew that everything was going to work out.  Not only had he changed his name to fit with his idle, but he was going to try out for the most prestigious dance team in the county!  He arrived with 30 seconds to spare, just enough time to say hi to his grandma and make his way to the judges’ table.

The Lithium Robot (Author's Note)

A note to my loyal readers,

First off, let me thank all those who have stuck with me through this journey.  From the intro to part 11, the handful of you faithful readers have made the entire writing process worth it.  When I first wrote this story, I set out to change the world.  I wanted to get the lifestyle of your average kid, and I wanted to capture that in a short story the likes of which the world has never seen!  And I did just that.  It was hard to find the right marketing for the story however, and the story sat there for a year.  But with the help of this sight, the world has gotten to know myself, and the story of Phillip.

The Lithium Robot (part 11 of 12)

However, King Phillip II must have been looking out for him again, when out of nowhere a frail woman walked out from behind a nearby tree.
“Samuel!  Is that you?” asked the woman, who seemed to know the answer to the question.

The Lithium Robot (part 10 of 12)

Samuel was back at Town Hall at exactly 6:00pm, right on the dot.  As he entered the “Name Changing Court Room,” he was greeted by many friends and family, all of whom congratulating him on taking this step in his life.
Butterflies were running rampide, and Samuel’s hands were twitching.  People were cheering in the background and his parents were throwing streamers all over the room.  As Samuel picked up the pen to sign the contract, he knew that he was living the greatest moment of his life.

The Lithium Robot (part 9 of 12)

“Sammy,” Betsy began as she slid her fingers under his, “I too once had a hero of whom I wanted to become.”  Samuel gasped; he was lost in Betsy’s eyes, her pupils being slightly dilated from the eye doctor the previous morning.  “You see Samuel,” she continued “when I was 42, I too became fascinated over someone who had altered the world forever."

The Lithium Robot (part 8 of 12)

Samuel ran much faster to get to her than he did to get to the auditions, he made it back to the museum in no time, and it seemed that King Phillip II himself had made the timing perfect as there she was coming out of the museum entrance.  Her dentures sparkling in the sun, her boat shoes as beautiful as her lovely vest with the kittens on it, his favorite.  She was wearing the earrings he had given her so long ago, the clip-on little running shoes.

Games from my childhood

Commodore 64My first experiences with video games as a child were cartridge based games on the family commodore 64. You remeber the one, with the giant keyboard that was the computer? Those were the days. Well, I found a websire this week that has brought back many of those memories:  c64s.com

They have all of your favorite games from the Commodore 64 playable from your web browser. Woohoo. Enjoy.
